The prince developed friendship with a wounded dragon named toothless which was captured during the dragon invasion of their clan. This friendship make the prince to learn that the dragons are misjudged and are not so bad.

Hiccup try to make his clan mates to understand this but everyone laughed at him. Thus started the new journey of the Prince Hiccup and the Dragon Toothless.

How to Train Your Dragon Movie Story

A young boy named Hiccup, played by the one and only Jay Baruchel, takes center stage in the eccentric community of Berk, where oddly enough, every building looks like it just came off the assembly line.

Things are never boring in Berk, especially when the dragons decide to visit without warning and cause mayhem by stealing sheep and lighting anything on fire.

In the face of this scaly menace, the villagers grab whatever weapons they can find, ready to defend their turf. But our adventurous protagonist, Hiccup, defies the orders to seek shelter, instead opting for a DIY bolas-shooting contraption to take down a dragon soaring in the night sky. (Thanks to his gig as the assistant to the village blacksmith, Gobber, voiced by the hilarious Craig Ferguson, Hiccup is no stranger to tinkering with tools.)

The dragon crash-lands in the woods, much to the skepticism of the locals who doubt Hiccup’s marksmanship. It’s not until the next day that Hiccup ventures into the wilderness and stumbles upon a rare and menacing Night Fury. However, Hiccup’s heart softens, and rather than dispatching the creature, he sets it free, much to the surprise of both parties.

Hiccup and Toothless thus strike up an unexpected bond as our hero learns of the dragon’s plight—that of having a lost tail fin that prevents it from flying. Ever resourceful, Hiccup fashions a crude leather fin, but Toothless’s first flight ends up being an inadvertent thrill ride that gives Hiccup a crash lesson in dragon aerodynamics.

Hiccup improves his creations through a process of trial and error, leading to the creation of a safety harness, a tail fin control mechanism, and a saddle.

In the meantime, Gobber instructs Hiccup in dragon training under the guidance of his father, Stoick, who is portrayed by the powerful Gerard Butler. This turns out to be a significant divergence from Hiccup’s nontraditional bonding experiences with Toothless.

To the amusement of his classmates Astrid, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut, Hiccup ends up at the bottom of the class as predicted due to his clumsiness. (And sure, Hiccup and Astrid are starting to show signs of puppy love.)

However, Hiccup’s special understanding of dragon behavior—gavered by his bond with Toothless—quickly proves to be vital in overseeing the school’s practice dragons.

Stoick is pleasantly surprised to learn of Hiccup’s unexpected success in dragon training when he returns empty-handed from a dragon-hunting trip. Hiccup even gives him a helmet made from his late wife’s breastplate.

However, Hiccup, who has always been a reluctant talker, finds it difficult to tell his father how he really feels and keeps him in the dark about his activities involving dragons.

When Hiccup unintentionally gains the unfortunate distinction of defeating a practice dragon in front of the entire community, the situation drastically changes. Terrified by the idea, he chooses to leave with Toothless, only to have the always cautious Astrid follow him.

Their aerial adventure brings them to the shocking realization that dragons are not only thieving pests but also the prey of a giant behemoth that is hiding in a hidden valley.

Hiccup, who has vowed to keep everything secret, coaxes Astrid into remaining silent about their discoveries. He seals the bargain with a tender kiss and a playful punch.

But the ceremony to kill the dragons goes wrong, and Hiccup’s attempt to highlight how peaceful dragons are backfires miserably. Unaware of Toothless’s noble intentions, the angry villagers lock him up in spite of his efforts.

In a fit of desperation, Hiccup unintentionally tells everyone about Toothless’s hidden hideout, which prompts Stoick to set out on a risky adventure without considering the perils that lie ahead.

Astrid’s unfailing faith in him inspires Hiccup to take action after he is abandoned and ostracized by his own people. Hiccup and his motley crew set off on a perilous rescue attempt, riding their trusty practice dragons and pursuing the misdirected Viking fleet.

As chaos breaks out on the dragons’ island, Stoick recognizes his terrible mistake and decides to take on the enormous dragon head-on in order to give his allies more time to flee. Even if the children’s brave attempts result in the Vikings’ ships catching fire, they are able to momentarily divert the monstrous creature from its attack.

When Hiccup tries to save Toothless from his burning situation in the middle of the mayhem, they end up underwater, and Stoick saves them. In a last-ditch effort to preserve their homeland, Hiccup and Toothless face the enormous dragon together and try to entice it away from the Vikings.

In a thrilling finale, Toothless strikes the final blow, destroying the enormous dragon in a flaming display that leaves our heroes appearing to be consumed.

But fear not! Back in Berk, Hiccup awakens to a new dawn, spurred into action by Toothless’s gentle nudge. Despite losing a limb in the battle, Hiccup finds himself equipped with a spring-loaded prosthetic courtesy of Gobber.

With matching disabilities, Hiccup and Toothless take to the skies once more, greeted by a village bustling with dragons-turned-pets.

As Astrid welcomes Hiccup back with a kiss, Gobber supplies them with new gear for their aerial adventures.

And so, with a newfound alliance between Vikings and dragons, Hiccup embarks on a new chapter of adventure alongside his friends, soaring high above the clouds.
